Audastio adds new Haitian Creole-language podcast to already diverse roster

Miami, FL — Audastio, the Miami-based multilingual podcast storytelling network, is pleased to announce its exciting new podcast collaboration with Gaëlle Bien-Aimé to bring the new Haitian Creole-language podcast Kwonik Yon Dayiva to all streaming platforms on November 18.

Gaëlle Bien-Aimé is a journalist, actress, comedian, and playwright. She is a teacher of body and voice at Acte, a training school for actors and animators in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She is a founding member of both L’Association des Professionnels du Théâtre Haïtien (APTH) and the feminist organization Nègès Mawon.

Kwonik Yon Dayiva is my moment! There is a reason this is the first thing that I say in the intro of the podcast. This podcast is my reflection and reading on the life and living conditions of women in particular. Whatever makes me ask questions. All that makes me dive into books and documentaries to better understand society and its people. Kwonik Yon Dayiva is all that worries me. It’s my jokes and my personal story. It’s a space to say what I think because yes, women can say what they think in the public space. They can insert their mouths into all matters, be it politics, education, sports, etc. Kwonik Yon Dayiva will free the mind of a woman who decides not to let anything pass them by. A woman fighting for well-being and freedom, and for men who believe in them too.”

Audastio is thrilled to reach this milestone with someone like Gaëlle. This is yet another step towards showing commitment to making the podcast industry more diverse and inclusive by building a multilingual network that includes new faces, voices, and stories.

“I hope this podcast will bring the conversation from the stage to listeners’ ears in an entertaining way,” said Gaëlle. “This show will shake people’s beliefs and shatter taboos while making them laugh at the same time.”
